Exhaustion is not the price of ambition.
It's the price of performing.

You know the pattern

You checked Slack before you kissed your partner.
You said "I'm fine" to the person who would have listened.
You can't remember the last meal you tasted.
You closed the laptop at midnight. Again.
You woke up tired and called it a productive week.

None of this is a time management problem. Keep reading.

You are not burned out from doing too much.

You are exhausted from living in permanent alert. Scanning the room. Managing reactions. Pre-empting disappointment. Bracing for the moment someone is unhappy with you.

Somewhere early, you learned that being yourself wasn't safe. So you performed. The competent one. The reliable one. The one who never drops a ball. The performing kept the fear quiet. It also cost you yourself.

And you didn't sit still with it. You tried the real things:

Talk coaching The yoga retreat Productivity systems The morning routine Breathwork as a lifestyle The week off Full nervous system regulation

Some of it helped. None of it held. Every tool addressed the output - the overwork, the exhaustion, the reflex yes. None of them touched the signal underneath: I am not safe being myself here.

So the pattern reset. Every time.

High performance is not the problem. The source of it is.

Fear-sourced action depletes. Self-sourced action sustains. The output can look identical. The cost is completely different.

Where you've been

Performing

Reactive. Always on. Reading every room before you enter it. The yes that leaves your mouth before you've checked whether it's true. Approval energy: it works, and it empties you.

Where you're heading

Acting from within

Grounded. Intentional. The pause before the answer. The no that doesn't need a paragraph of justification. Resolution energy: it holds, because it's yours.

You don't lose the ambition. You don't lose the drive. What goes is the performance of a self that was never fully yours.

This is UN-performing.

Not doing less. Not caring less. Not a softer version of you.

UN-performing is the deliberate dismantling of the version of yourself built to win approval from people who aren't you. You keep the work. You keep the standards. You stop running two jobs at once - the work, and the performance of the work.

The somatic element

Where the work goes deeper than words.

Somatic is not woo. Not crystals, not chanting, not a vibe. It's precise work at the point where what you think and what you feel stop contradicting each other.

mind body SOMA

The soma: in the somatics tradition, the living body as experienced from within - where mind and body stop being separate. This is where the work happens.

Talk alone

You can narrate your pattern for years and still run it. Insight that stays in the head is a well-argued story - and the mind is fluent in explanations. That's how the performance survived this long.

Body alone

You can breathe, shake, release - and Monday's meeting puts the pattern right back. Regulation without understanding is relief, not change.

The work is the conversation between the two.

In session, we slow down enough to hear what the body registered before the mind explained it. The tight throat gets a sentence. The held breath gets a question. The mind stops overriding the signal. The body stops carrying it alone.

This is connected knowing - and it's the moment a pattern starts to change instead of just being understood. It's also where the session gets real: not an exercise bolted onto a conversation, but the conversation itself moving between what you think and what you feel until they say the same thing.

Somatic coaching is a coaching method that works with the body's signals alongside conversation, so patterns change at their source instead of just in behaviour.

The method

Inner Motion. Three stages.

01

Recognise

You start to see the performance. The approval loop. The over-giving. The reflex yes. Not as a character flaw - as a pattern, with a history. This is the moment the exhaustion stops feeling like a personal failing and starts feeling like data.

02

Connect

You reconnect to what's true underneath the pattern. Not as a concept - as a body-level knowing. What does a real yes feel like? What does genuine tiredness feel like, versus performed depletion? This is where the somatic work lives. The body is the diagnostic tool, not the mind.

03

Translate

Insight becomes behaviour. Clarity shows up in decisions: what you take on, what you charge, what you walk away from. This is where the work changes your work.

I don't hand you a destination. I have a method. You choose the direction. For over-coached high achievers, that's usually the first honest thing anyone has offered them.

Her shoulders drop. She says the thing. The room stays.

Not balance. Not rest. Resolution. You stand upright, safe in yourself, able to take a hit - rejection, disappointment, someone's anger - and stay yourself. Every performing habit was protecting against an imagined emptying of the room. The room doesn't empty. That's the discovery.

Who this is for

The woman you're here to become.

Her morning belongs to her before it belongs to any inbox.
She reads the message and answers tomorrow. Nothing breaks.
She says "that didn't sit right with me" instead of "it's fine."
She still cares. It just stopped costing her everything.
She asks "what matters most here" instead of "what will they think."

This is not for you if

You want a step-by-step plan and someone to tell you what to do. You're shopping for a result by a deadline. You're in acute crisis - that's therapy's job, and I'll say so on the call. Or the fee would strain you financially. This work needs ground under it.

I didn't learn this in a certification.

Zuza in the Algarve, seated in coastal light

At 24 I ran the biggest lifestyle category in Central Eastern Europe and called the grind love. The night before six hours of presentations, I was lying on a showroom floor with a stomach bug. A friend brought me a bread roll. It was the best thing I'd ever tasted - because for the first time in years, I was actually present.

I changed industries twice. The pattern came with me: learn fast, overdeliver, become indispensable, disappear. Then, during the biggest crisis crypto had seen, I ran breathwork for a team working through the night. They told me it got them through. That's when this stopped being a side interest.

The job was never the problem. The pattern was. I worked it at the root and built a method out of it. I coach from the Algarve - the first place I chose entirely for myself. ICF certified. Still walking the path, with better tools than the woman on the floor.

Working together

One format. Four months.

Because three is never enough for pattern-level work.

  • 8 sessions of 50 minutes across 4 months
  • Voice and text support between sessions
  • Tools adjusted to your process, not a template
  • A 30-minute check-in three months after we finish
  • Optional monthly continuation afterwards

EUR 2,000

For the full four months, paid upfront.

If it's clearly the wrong fit after two sessions, I refund the unused portion. It hasn't happened yet.

Questions you're probably holding.

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy looks back to heal. Coaching works with a functioning adult on how she lives and decides now. If what you're carrying needs therapy, I'll tell you on the first call and mean it.

What does "somatic" actually mean here?

Your body registers the pattern before your mind narrates it. The tight throat before the reflex yes. The held breath in the meeting. We use those signals as data - not bodywork instead of talking, but the conversation between the two. No incense. No lying on mats.

I don't have time for this.

The work happens inside the life you already have. Sessions are 50 minutes. The rest is noticing differently in moments that are already happening - the inbox, the dinner table, the pause before you answer.

What results can I expect?

I won't promise a specific outcome, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. What clients consistently report: decisions get faster and cleaner, the reflex yes loses its grip, and the exhaustion stops being a mystery. Where you point that is yours.

Do you work with men?

Yes, when they arrive through referral. The work is the same. The writing speaks to women because that's who this pattern lands on hardest, and who I build for.

How do I know if this is for me?

You probably already do. The discovery call exists so we can both check - 30 minutes, free, and if I'm not the right person I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
